20 Years Under the Influence of Juxtapoz, a Group Exhibition

Upcoming Sunday February 22nd, the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery will open both the '20 Years Under the Influence of Juxtapoz' Group Exhibition and 'SLANG estethics', a new serie of work by Lowbrow grand master Robert Williams.

Sneak Peek New Work

One of the things I'm currently working on is a (street) theater inspired piece. A kingfisher is part of the main characters. It is, in fact, a replacement character since the first, a Bichon Frisé (a type of lap dog) refused to come out of my brush in the right way. To me the dog kept resembling Lex Goudsmit (a Dutch actor who was known for his work on the Dutch Sesame Street, among other things). And once noticing the likeness I could not get rid of it, even after several re-paints.
Damn you, Lex Goudsmit!
But I'm pleased with how the bird is drying up. More sharing of this piece later on.
